Introducing the EAASI Young Ambassador Program

The European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI) announces the launch of the Young Ambassador Program, an initiative designed to connect with the next generation of innovators in aerial surveying.

The program's inaugural ambassadors, Alice Hilton from Bluesky International and Johann Sidial from BSF Swissphoto, exemplify the variety of roles and backgrounds found in modern geospatial careers. Alice, a Product Specialist, brings her expertise in tree mapping and climate change to the development of environmental products. Johann, a Team Leader in Photogrammetry, manages large-scale projects across Europe and has a background that spans academia and government work.

In September 2024, Charlène Negrello from Sixense Helimap joined the program. A Project Manager who graduated as land surveyor at the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Géomètres et Topographes (ESGT), Charlène specializes in helicopter data acquisition, working on diverse projects across multiple continents. Her passion for variety and technical challenges makes her an inspiring role model for aspiring professionals. Charlène’s dedication to advancing geospatial technology and her commitment to engaging with future professionals highlight the dynamic opportunities within the aerial surveying industry.

The program aims to showcase diverse and dynamic careers within the aerial surveying industry while empowering young professionals to become ambassadors for their fields. Selected from talented individuals working within EAASI member companies, our Young Ambassadors will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding future professionals in the industry.

As a Young Ambassador, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and insights about working in aerial surveying. They will engage with potential future professionals at industry events, participate in informative video interviews providing insights into various aspects of the industry, and visit schools and universities to inspire a passion for STEM, particularly among young women.

EAASI members are encouraged to suggest candidates who they believe would make excellent Young Ambassadors and contribute to the growth of the program.
